Healthcare Worker/ Assistant
As a health care assistant (HCA) you are committed to keeping people in the comfort of their own homes, helping with everything from everyday tasks around our customers’ homes to complex care needs. You will be driving or using public transport between the client’s home. You will be working closely with people in need and your role as a healthcare assistant is different every day. If you are passionate about providing the very best care, then this role could be the role for you.
The role involves:
- • Providing personal care duties.
- • Administering or promoting medication.
- • Manual handling, using equipment where required, hoists.
- • Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their lives as independently as possible.
Team Leader / Senior Care Worker
As a team leader with THCP, you will be using your care experience and competence skills to support less experienced care assistants to carry out their roles safely and in line with THCP policies and procedures. You will support less experienced healthcare workers and be guided by a field care supervisor. With your knowledge and experience of great customer care, you will be a role model and mentor for other care assistants. This role offers an exciting opportunity to progress your career as a care assistant, whilst maintaining that all-important relationship with your customers.
The role involves:
- • Providing crucial care and support to customers in all aspects of their daily living.
- • Coaching and mentoring new healthcare workers.
24/7 Live-In Care Worker
The role of a live-in care assistant is like other care assistants with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household. You will enjoy the special privilege of living in a client’s home, where the client will rely upon you for support with all aspects of their daily living. The role of a live-in care worker varies you will have to use your excellent communication skills to build unique relationships with people from all walks of life. The service gives customers the assurance of 24-hour support in the comfort of their own homes. However, live-in carer assistants are not expected to be continuously on duty for 24 hours, you will have pre-arranged rest periods each day.
The role involves:
- • Meal preparation and providing personal care duties.
- • Administering medication.
- • Manual handling, using equipment where required i.e., hoist.
- • Promoting customer health and well-being by living in the client’s home, enabling them to live their life to the full.
